Inquiry Description

Inquiry Type: Welded Panel Operations

Description: L/Rear Door Skin

Inquiry Details
CCC/MOTOR assigns 4.0 hours to replace the Outer Panel. Removing the 0.6 hours assigned to R&I of the shell assembly leaves 3.4 hours to perform the operation. The door glass is fixed and adds an additional 1.0 hours when R&I is selected separately. While the rear door is considerably smaller than the front door, there is little if any labor savings associated with the reduced overall size, given the high spot weld count SuggestedAction//I would suggest an overall time of 7 hours to perform the operation (including R&I of the fixed glass). I would also suggest that this operation be treated similarly with a quarter panel having a fixed quarter glass, and include the glass R&I labor in the Outer Panel replace time (as opposed to having to select it separately), or equivalently, a labor note indicating that R&I of the glass is not included
